Club Governance

I find with our Association it is not always smooth sailing and you need to be able to call on someone with a wealth of knowledge and experience in dealing with our Association. Several years ago, I took over as the President, the committee inherited a very tight deadline to put together an updated Constitution. Kim took us under her wing and patiently guided us through the regulations. More recently we consulted with Kim on several other matters. These needed dealing with promptly. Kim was patient, quick to respond, offered sound guidance and shared her knowledge.
— Beverley Harrison - President WA Landscape Design Association (WALDA)
Kim’s enthusiasm and experience for governance issues were really appreciated as she guided our volunteer committee through the process of amending our constitution, and then creating our Community Plan which has been extremely useful to keep the committee on track as well as being a useful tool when applying for grants.
— Laura – Secretary, Lower Kalgan Community Association
Morning Kim - Your knowledge of constitutional amendment and the ongoing advice and guidance given to the Frenchman Bay Association is gratefully appreciated.

Thanks very much from myself and the Chapter 13 Committee for your help getting our new constitution up to scratch. I think we all felt we were in somewhat unfamiliar waters doing this so assistance from someone who knows the ropes was very much appreciated.

Lower King Community Kindergarten engaged KBC to help us become an incorporated association. Kim was always accomodating and flexible to work with and around our other commitments to achieve our new constitution and association within a tight time frame. We would highly recommend KBC to any association. Thanks Kim!

Kim was recommended to the Shire of Broomehill-Tambellup to assist in establishing a new community committee that would manage new sporting facilities being constructed in Tambellup. Whilst the scope of the task ahead was daunting to all of us setting out, Kim was able to break it down into bite sized chunks, that, with consultation back to our clubs, were able to be ticked off. The result is we have a functioning committee with a plan for their future and the skills to forge ahead as they assume management of the new facility. Kim’s professionalism and facilitation skills allowed the group to work effectively, and we would have no hesitation in seeking her assistance again in the future.

Her ability to structure the process and to keep the participates focused on what was required allowed us to develop a workable and very detailed facilities management plan. It was a great outcome for us.

ClubWorks

I went through ‘Making Your Meeting Work’ on ClubWorks and have to say excellent work, the content was spot on and the ‘wise words’ was a terrific technique to hear from others in various roles. The whole site was easy to navigate & registration was quite quick, once I had the code it was very easy.
