About KBC
Kim Buttfield Consulting (KBC)
Sport is the backbone of many rural communities, and the sporting clubs are often the heart of the community. I live and breathe sport of all kinds, it’s my life-long passion. I have seen how rural sporting clubs, and the people who make up these clubs, positively impact regional communities.
That’s why I founded Kim Buttfield Consulting, to support sport, recreation and community groups to better manage ‘their business’ so they can spend more time doing what they love to do. KBC was established to support the incredible volunteers who daily, weekly and seasonally make sure grass roots sport is delivered.
I offer over 25 years of community and sport sector experience in not-for-profit governance, club planning, volunteer support, funding and community management. A Diploma in Business Governance and a Bachelor of Applied Science support my experience, along with over 15 years as a professional sportsperson (coach and player) and nearly 20 years within the government sector.
No two clubs or communities are the same. There are many variables and challenges faced by the sport, recreation and community sector. KBC is about supporting ‘the team’, working with club volunteers, and helping clubs and communities to reach their goals.
For the last 20 years, I have lived in Albany, on the south coast of Western Australia and understand that most sport and community volunteers often operate outside of normal business hours. I can be contacted via email and mobile at any time and will work at times convenient to you.
"Sport has the power to change the world. It has the power to inspire. It has the power to unite people in a way that little else does. Sport can awaken hope where there was previously only despair. Sport speaks to people in a language they can understand."
